Van Buren Ribbon Pillow
BACKSTORY
This one of a kind piece is crafted from horse show ribbons awarded at the Van Buren County Fair in Keosauqua, Iowa, during the 1970s, with each one quilted together to form the fabric of its backstory. The delicate ruffle is made from an unused white silk bed sheet. On the back, a rich, chocolate-brown suede fabric—passed down to me by a friend's grandmother—featuring a vintage white button at its center. Pillow insert included.

A note on secondhand and vintage elements: Your piece may show subtle signs of its age. These items have lived many a life before taking on their current form. The natural wear and tear they carry is evidence of the passage of time and their unique backstories. I will always strive to find the highest quality pieces possible to ensure they can continue to live on for years to come.
