SHELLPHONE Groove Tube

An over-the-top one-of-a-kind assemblage piece adorned with found seashells collected across the United States and tiny baroque pearls. Paired with a complementary orange & orange globe. 

Groove Tubes are handmade lava-lamp objects.

I make each Groove Tube entirely by hand over several weeks in my NYC studio apartment. Each piece is cast in solid concrete from an original sculpted form and individually adorned by hand.

I work with repurposed lava lamp globes, reworking their original contents to create something calming and hypnotic for the space.

Groove Tubes are intentionally solid and weighty. I like it when objects feel heavy.

Each Groove Tube is handmade in my NYC studio. Subtle variations and imperfections are an intentional part of the process and little reminders that your piece was shaped by human hands and not mass-produced in a factory.

Please note: I can only ship Groove Tubes within North America due to the differences in plug shapes and standard voltages from country to country but I am actively researching how to tailor them to different countries worldwide so please stay tuned!
