SENSITIVO Groove Tube

This peculiar Pedestal Groove Tube was hand-painted with experimental thermochromic paint that shifts from black to light lavender as your Groove Tube heats up and gets grooving. In its resting phase it stays a more solid black but once activated half the surface shifts into a soft lavender hue. Complete with a double red wax/fluid globe.

Groove Tubes are handmade lava-lamp objects designed to slow down the pace of a space.

Each piece is made over several weeks in Shae's tiny Brooklyn studio. Each Groove Tube is cast in solid concrete from an original sculpted form and finished and adorned entirely by hand.

Preexisting lava lamp globes are carefully reworked and individually tuned, adjusting their contents to create a flow unique to your individual lamp.

A light bulb is included with each piece.

All orders are final sale due to the one-of-a-kind and handmade nature of each piece. Your support allows me to continue making and evolving the Groove Tube and I love you for it.

Please note: Groove Tubes are designed specifically for North American power systems (120V/60Hz) and are only intended for use in the United States and Canada. I can only promise that your Groove Tube will operate properly within these locations as they have been designed and tested for these electrical standards only. However - I am actively researching how to safely adapt future Groove Tubes for other power systems around the world so please stay tuned.
