FRINGE TWINS Groove Tube (SET OF 2)

The Fringe Twins were born wearing Victorian-esque glass beaded textile fringe and hand-painted black with gold leaf detailing. They are a special one-of-a-kind pair fit for an opulent bedroom or perhaps split amongst friends. Featuring a globes of cherry red wax and golden orange fluid - a classic combination seen in vintage lava lamps. 

Groove Tubes are handmade lava-lamp objects designed to slow down the pace of a space.

Each piece is made over several weeks in Shae's tiny Brooklyn studio. Each Groove Tube is cast in solid concrete from an original sculpted form and finished and adorned entirely by hand.

Preexisting lava lamp globes are carefully reworked and individually tuned, adjusting their contents to create a rhythmic flow unique to your individual lamp. 

A light bulb is included with each piece.

Each Groove Tube is made entirely by hand, making every piece inherently one of a kind. Subtle variations in texture, color, surface, casting, and adornment are unique to each object and reflect the materials, process, and hands that brought it into being.

All orders are final sale due to the one-of-a-kind and handmade nature of each piece. Your support allows me to continue making and evolving the Groove Tube and I love you for it.

Please note: Groove Tubes are designed specifically for North American power systems (120V/60Hz) and are only intended for use in the United States and Canada. I can only promise that your Groove Tube will operate properly within these locations as they have been designed and tested for these electrical standards only. However - I am actively researching how to safely adapt future Groove Tubes for other power systems around the world so please stay tuned.
