ELSEWHERE Groove Tube

You possess the ability to go anywhere you can think of. This special 1:1 Altarpiece lamp carries with it a vintage handkerchief mini-skirt curtain, Japanese porcelain dollhouse furniture, and antique crochet lace cord wrap. Paired with a bright green wax and clear fluid globe. 

Groove Tubes are handmade lava-lamp objects.

I make each Groove Tube entirely by hand over several weeks in my NYC studio apartment. Each piece is cast in solid concrete from an original sculpted form and individually adorned by hand.

I work with repurposed lava lamp globes reworking their original contents to obtain an optimal rhythmic flow.

Groove Tubes are solid and heavy because I like it when objects that are like that.

Light bulb included.

Each Groove Tube is handmade in my NYC studio. Subtle variations and imperfections are an intentional part of the process and little reminders that your piece was shaped by human hands and not mass-produced in a factory.
