BIG IF TRUE Groove Tube

A signature Altarpiece Groove Tube hand painted in French blue, baby pink, and citrus green and adorned with rick-rack textile trimmings. Featuring a globe of black lava and clear fluid. 

Groove Tubes are handmade lava-lamp objects.

Each Groove Tube is made over several weeks in my small Brooklyn studio. Cast in solid concrete from an original sculpted form, each piece is finished and adorned entirely by hand.

Existing lava lamp globes are carefully reworked and individually tuned, adjusting their  contents to achieve a unique rhythmic flow.

Groove Tubes are substantial tabletop lighting sculptures - solid, heavy objects designed to slow down the pace your space.

A light bulb will be included with your piece.

Each Groove Tube is made entirely by hand, making every piece inherently one of a kind. Subtle variations in texture, color, surface, casting, and adornment are unique to each object and reflect the materials, process, and hands that brought it into being.

All orders are final sale due to the one-of-a-kind and handmade nature of each piece. Your support allows me to continue making and evolving the Groove Tube and I love you for it.

Please note: Groove Tubes are designed specifically for North American power systems (120V/60Hz) and are only intended for use in the United States and Canada. I can only promise that your Groove Tube will operate properly within these locations as they have been designed and tested for these electrical standards only. However - I am actively researching how to safely adapt future Groove Tubes for other power systems around the world so please stay tuned.
